Ana Isabel
I have lived in the UK since the early ‘90s, having lived in both Lisbon and Toronto where I first started working in the Radio industry. Since then, I spent some challenging years teaching in inner London. I worked as a class teacher initially and later became a Special needs teacher. It was during this period that I began to take a greater interest in Psychology.
In the late ‘90s I returned to work in Radio as a Presenter, Writer and Producer for the BBC World Service. The interest in Psychology never left me! in particular I enjoyed making a series designed to teach parents about the development of speech in babies.
My interest in psychology and helping others led me to train as a hypnotherapist at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Britain. Since finishing the course, I have helped many people with various issues. It is a source of great joy to watch my clients become more confident and develop the ability to use self-hypnosis to enhance their lives. I now combine all my skills and past experience to broadcast, give talks and write about the benefits of Hypnotherapy so as to bring a better understanding of Hypnosis to the wider public.
