Yesterday, I nearly missed these tiny mushrooms. No surprise, I would wager that I might have been the only person to spot them in a whole day. They’re not brightly coloured or big. I only spotted them because Teddy dragged me over to have a sniff at the bottom of the tree. Even then it was the moss that caught my eye. When I finally saw them, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. So tiny! So perfect! I could imagine fairies living in the tree.
A small moment in my day but it made me stop. It reminded me of the wonder of nature. It filled me with awe for its beauty and it reminded me that there is so much more to life than our daily cares. Take the time to step outside of yourself, be present, see the tiny detail. You might be surprised at what you find.
