The Golden Light, Teacher of Acceptance

At this time of year, my favourite time to walk is around noon. After that the light of the Sun grows weaker and I miss that wonderful feeling of brightness. As with most people, the time in which I walk is determined by work. Yesterday, I was only able to leave the house around 2:30. I felt myself sighing as I left the house. It wasn’t what I wanted. Already the light felt muted. The Sun was getting low in the sky. As I arrived and started the walk, I was mesmerised by the beauty of the light. Soft and gold, it surrounded me. It gently rebuked me for my earlier misgivings. In that moment I was reminded of the importance of gratitude and acceptance. The lesson was humbly accepted.
